We are seeking a HR Business Partner to work for Hangzhou and Shanghai office to partner with the global People and Organizational Development team to coach, influence and support both employees and the leadership team in all HR related areas including: talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, talent management, engagement, and communication.

Job Description
Job Title: People & Org Development Business Partner, China
Reports to: Head of People & Organisational Development, China.
Responsible for: Supporting partnered functions, People & Org Processes and Systems
Direct Reports: People & Org Dev Assistant.
R&R s
General
? Assist China People and Org team in implementing Human Resources strategy across the aligned organization.
? Build and maintain excellent working relationships between People & Org Development and abcam’s other teams to ensure high levels of communication are maintained.
? Work closely with Hangzhou and Shanghai function team heads, build strong working relationships with line mangers to provide advice, counsel, and support decisions around department goals and strategy. Contribute to the growth of the China offices through ideas and initiatives.
? Grow and nurture abcam’s corporate culture and behaviors throughout China, ensure that abcam’s values are intrinsic in every part of your role.
? Support, influence and coach managers to foster high performance across the organization: including ensuring all employee relations issues are managed effectively ensuring legal compliance and risk management.
? Review People & Org Dev policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving employment legislation
? According headquarter PDM and PVP principle and China local situation, drive abcam China performance management work, documented performance. And link performance development management with Career development, training, internal job level.

? Participate in cross-functional teams to develop programs/processes to support overall effectiveness of the People and Org function.
? Work with the Talent Acquisition assistance and business functions to recruit talented and qualified individuals.
? Develop communication with employees to provide friendly, fair and accessible People & Org Development service.
? Working with Line manager to manage China HRIS and all People & Org Dev operational processes.
L&D
? Identify training requirement, set up annual training plan and budget. According that, effective implementation.
? Implement headquarter L&D initiatives in China.
? Develop abcam China business functions L&D requirements with function managers through training need analysis.
? Develop and implement on-site training and coaching sessions responsible for the effective development of employees and managers (for example, giving feedback, running effective appraisal meetings and recruitment training).
? Effective combine training with Performance Development Management, Career Development, abcam Job Level.
? Implement headquarter succession plan in China. Support abcam China and abcam China line managers within the process of succession planning through facilitation of the PVP and development plans.
? Support and give guidance on suitable L&D activities including providers and the design of any training interventions.
Talent acquisition
? According headquarter Talent Acquisition principle, abcam behaviour, and China local situation, influence and drive abcam China Talent Acquisition and employee value proposition throughout China organization.
? Manage all aspects of the recruitment process, infrastructure and how we set up a best leverage and utilise our applicant tracking system.
? Follow up headquarter projects in the Talent Acquisition arena, according China local situation, implement in China. Including employment branding, enhanced career sites, social media and a full review and proposal for our applicant tracking system.
? According the strategy from headquarter and business development requirement from functions, collaborate with functions head, deliver annual headcount budget and quarter forecast (3+9, 6+6, 9+3).
? Work closely with the Compensation and Benefits advisor to ensure that new and replacement job roles are accurately benchmarked based on abcam’s compensation strategy.
? Take responsibility for workload analysis and assist line manager in decision making.
Working with managers and assigned teams
? Participate of the management teams for the PDM, Marketing.
? Proactively partner with the business to provide front line People Org Dev support to initiate, design and execute integrated people solutions that address key business issues and to create a high performing teams.
? Support assigned teams on developing their people plans for their functions which include key projects and activities.
? Advising and coaching managers and employees on people related issues.
? Support the talent acquisition service to all assigned departments.
? Collaborate with managers regarding the induction of all new hires.
? Manage employee relations issues (including; disciplinary, grievance and changes to terms and conditions) and give guidance to Managers on company policies and procedures.
? Manage day to day operational people (ER) issues with your assigned teams.
? Coordinate and oversee the China’s performance and salary review cycles, 3+9, 6+6, for your assigned teams.
? Review the Staff survey data with assigned teams, support managers and assist in the implementation of actions to drive forward engagement and motivation.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Outstanding communication skills, combined with the ability and confidence to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
? Bachelor’s or advanced degree in HR or closely-related discipline
? Strong analytical skills including expertise with Microsoft Excel. This will include setting and managing budgets and maintaining spreadsheets.
? In-depth understanding of China employment law.
? Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment.
? Good knowledge of HR information system
? Previous line management experience
? Recent experience working in a bio tech/laboratory environment.
? Experience in working for a global organization
? Function well in a team environment, displaying great active listening skills and contributing ideas within the global People and Org team
? Design and delivery of HR related training sessions.
? Expertise with Microsoft Office suite.
? Have China HR level 1 certificate.
